four Richmond-inspired personas—each with a unique style and attitude, unified by one accessory: the helmet. The shoot brought a satirical twist to the idea of safety in self-expression, reimagining helmets as both protective gear and an elevated style statement.
To pull together these varied looks, I visited multiple shops around Richmond, sourcing everything from tailored business attire to casual streetwear. Through this process, I was able to partner with a local bike shop, which provided a range of helmets that fit each persona’s aesthetic. This collaboration was instrumental, as it allowed us to explore unique helmet designs that complemented each character while adding an authentic connection to the cycling theme.
